One task checked off for the holidays

Speaking of Christmas "already", for the first time ever in Lih/Chang history, we have our Christmas cards done by Thanksgiving. To debunk any assumptions that we are overly zealous about the holidays, Martha Stewart-like, or super-organized, I should reveal that we were motivated by one thing and one thing only: money. There was a 25% off coupon for Ofoto which expired on Wednesday and if we could get our cards uploaded and done by then, we could save over $25. And the only reason why we could even get it done in November is because we do the expensive and lazy method of having Ofoto print, addres and mail the cards for us.

The downside to the cards we chose is there's no hand-written hello in any of the cards but the upside is that they reach people before Chinese New Year. But in the rush, we weren't able to write a little newslettery thing or even think through if we have new friends to put on our list this year. Well, and that's what our 10 extra cards are for. And for once, I don't have to worry about addressing, writing or designing a card while on Christmas vacation like I do every year. I think last year we actually sent our Christmas cards from Ofoto from D.C....when we were there for New Year's!

Now I can move on to other holiday tasks like how to make enough sticky rice for Tom's hungry relatives at Thanksgiving?
