Tobey: Calendar
Saying goodbye is always easier when you can also say, "See you in a month!". And such is the case with my parents who just left after a week's visit, but whom we'll see at Christmas in a month.
A "month" means nothing to Tobey so we told him we'll see them at Christmas, which is soon. But tonight when we drove to our customary Friday night Mommy's-sick-of-cooking dinner, Tobey saw Christmas lights hung on someone's house...already. He was excited. "Now that it's Christmas, we can go to Grandmommy and Gong-Gong's house!"
Not so fast, buddy. And we knew that no amount of explaining days, weeks, the sun going up or down, "the time it takes for Mommy to get cranky again", will explain to him how long a month is. So Tom thought we should find or make a calendar so he can "x" out days until it's time to go.
Angela had a cool one up for Christopher. She cheated, she's a kindergarten teacher.
