A grandmother??

I have never been asked this question before and I don't know whether to be offended or just perplexed.

When we were at the senior home on Saturday with our growth group, I was holding Eli. One of the residents there asked me if he was my grandson.

??

I know I don't look 20-something anymore but a GRANDmother? It seemed a bit too outlandish for me to actually be offended but I still wonder, what about me (what I was wearing? my strands of white hair?) made her think I was a grandmother?

I guess some women who had kids early, etc. can be grandmothers in their 40's. I guess that means I could pass for my 40's. Great.
