ALCF Moms

Our church is finally launching a moms ministry. Hopefully it will minister to the moms in the church and we don't have to mooch off of other churches' programs as I know we all do. :-)

I signed up to help lead the hospitality ministry with another mom. It's a step of faith for me to serve because since becoming a mom, I somehow convinced in my mind that I don't have much left to give to others after giving to my kids. Sometimes I feel like I have barely anything to give to Tom. Not only that, I was shy to serve on anything regular out of fear that I couldn't live up to my commitment juggling ministry and kids. I also didn't want to get into a crazy lifestyle where I drag the kids from event to event because of my overcommitting to serving.

But I've been annoyed that our church went moms-groupless for so long that now that it's going to start, I wanted to help out. I carefully picked an area that I'm happy and gifted to serve in and trust that some of the other areas that sounded kind of good too are well-taken care of by the other motivated moms. The mom that I'm working with sounds great too. I think we can work well together.
