Little things

We've been preoccupied by Grandma's passing, my mom's continuing visit, my helping with some of the communication and arrangements, that I sometimes forget to put into my "ponder room" the little things and milestones that the boys are doing.

- Tobey called our pie server the "pizza shovel" because we used it last night to serve pizza.
- Eli made a 360 in the exersaucer, gradually making his way around pushing off his left foot.
- Tobey's language continues to develop nicely into many word sentences and questions.
- Tobey is able to tell Daddy what he did that day, who he played with and with what.
- Tobey and Eli can entertain each other enough for me to write this post.
- The past 3 days Eli has slept 12 hours, 9-9.
- Tobey's singing and talking in his crib in the mornings.

Today I'm accompanying my mom and aunt to Skylawn where Grandma's ashes will be interred. It was stressful finding babysitting not for lack of people offering to help, but when the time came, circumstances were such that 90% of my options all couldn't come through. It was mostly unavoidable (kids sick, previous committments, working, inconvenient given where I'm going) but for some, I didn't want to impose one or both kids on them, especially if they're already pregnant with their 2nd (we've gotten many comments about how heavy 32 lb. Tobey is!). But Jessica came to the rescue, taking on both kids along with her own Kyle. And her location couldn't be better given where Skylawn is. Thanks, Jessica!
