Tobey: I know my ABC's!

Denise gave us a new LeapPad book (and the LeapPad for that matter) teaching ABC's. Tobey's been toying around with this new book which clearly shows a big letter on each page and I've been happy to hear the LeapFrog patented song, "B says 'buh', B says 'buh', every letter makes a sound, B says 'buh'." while he's playing.

I was floored to watch him do an ABC game where he could identify almost all the letters of the alphabet! The only "mistakes" he made were understandable (from a mommy and teacher perspective). He mistook Z for N (look alike), S for F (because the speaker sounds muffled), and W for U ("double yoo"). Most everything else he got on the first try after some scanning around the page. What was more fun was to see him succeed and to see him want to play the game over and over again with more confidence.

And in other small miracles, Tom and I looked at each other in amazement when Tobey "twenty-six!" while passing our Valero with a price of $2.26. And Tobey also started to say what sounded like "twenty" when we just retrieved our mail containing at 20% off coupon from Bed Bath & Beyond. Could it really be?
