Busier with two
I started noticing this a few months ago but now with school started, it's confirmed: life is a lot busier with two!
I notice that I don't do as many playdates as I used to. When it was just Tobey, I could plan multiple playdates on healthy weeks with time still for errands. Now with two kids, some days are errand days and some are play days because I can only do 1 thing per day. Now with preschool, MTO and MTO shopping, that leaves just 1 day on average for an "extra" playdate ("extra" meaning besides our Monday group). And sadly, I don't miss my extra playdates as much. There's no time to.
If a week is just too busy with other stuff and we really groceries (like tonight), there I am wandering the aisles with others in PJ's, the workaholics just leaving work at 9, or weary looking parents with kids that won't go to bed.
I've also taken on a couple of endeavors. I'm redesigning Chi's newsletter because her home office said my grayscale design would take up too much toner/cost (please). And I am thinking of playing in the church Christmas musical, which means dusting off the ol' violin and practicing. I had all of 15 min. of playing violin with the kids tonight before it was time for bath and bedtime(half of that time playing songs like "Twinkle Twinkle" to entertain my adoring fans) and this was with Tom holding Eli and keeping Tobey from touching the stuff in my case. Finding time to work or play is extra hard reminding me that life is indeed busier with two.
