Tobey the garbage disposal

You would think Tom, the man who gains no weight, is the garbage disposal in our house, i.e., the cleanup guy, i.e., the guy who says, "hey baby, you gonna eat dat?", i.e., the one who eats everyone's leftovers.

But alas, Tobey is the garbage disposal, specifically Eli's. Eli has a bad habit now of throwing food down when he's done (probably unintentionally reinforced by the fact that we end his meal as a discipline for throwing food). And it was just once that Eli started throwing down cubes of tofu that we offered them to Tobey since Eli wasn't eating anymore.

Now Tobey "calls" Eli's food, much in the way Andrew and I would call for the middle seat of the car to hog up the blasting A/C in the heat of summer. "If Eli throws it, I'm gonna eat it!" Unfortunately, Tobey's only gotten to actually eat Eli's food a few times as we've been able to save a bunch for leftovers for the next meal. But the times that he does get to eat Eli's food, he's been quite proud of his catch.

And wouldn't you know it, Tobey doesn't gain an ounce (or a tummy) either.
