Eli: Pointing
I'm excited to see that Eli has started pointing. It gives me more incentive to converse with him more (something that I am guilty of not doing enough of) since it's the start of some kind of communicative feedback. Actually, he's probably been trying to communicate through his yelps and grunts for some time now but I haven't been paying attention.
I first saw him point several days ago at an airplane in the sky. This was a huge relief because ever since Dr. Moore said last appt to see if Eli can see far away like at a plane or a bird flying overhead, I haven't been always able to get him to look up, thus fueling my paranoia that he can't see far. But when he pointed at a plane (albeit, it was one of the big loud planes that fly close to the ground to Moffett Field), I figured he can, he just keeps his head to the ground (I think!).
This morning, he was doing one of his random pointings, where he just walks pointing, not really at anything, just with his finger out. He looked like he was using his finger as a divining rod in search of treasure in our living room.
