Some perspective

My friend Anna's son is 6 years old. Yesterday while she was sharing at our table at Moms Time Out, she said that her son is one-third of the way through his time at home. All of us at the table gasped, having never thought about our time at home with our kids that way before. Just when we think we can't wait for our kid to be out of diapers, weaned, starting preschool. And then they're 1/3 of the way off to college already.
