"CCBB" now, "Billie Jean" later
I just got a glimpse of Tobey's adolescence. And probably a flashback of ours.
He wanted to hear the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom song so I put on the CD. He stood there dancing with the CCBB book (which he can't read but he was pretending to study it), trying to sing along with the song. He got a lot of the words and muddled through the rest. After it was done, he asked to hear it again, so I played it again and just put the CD player on "repeat". He was thrilled and diligent about learning his song.
Innocent preschool alphabet song now. In 10 years it's going to be some awful pop or rap song that he's trying to memorize the lyrics to, not even knowing what he's saying. I'm sure our parents thought the same of us teeny boppers with headphones on singing, "Billie Jean is not my lo-verrr..."
