Why you have two
I've had the last almost half hour to myself. The kids weren't interested in breakfast yet but I was so I started cooking my breakfast. Meanwhile, Tobey and Eli found their own way to our digital piano and started playing together.
I had to bark a couple of times for Tobey's whining ("Eli's playing too loud!") but other than that, I was able to eat in peace. And afterward, still not interested in breakfast, they found crayons and an activity book. They sit across from each other on the picnic table and color, Eli upside down. They are quiet and self-entertaining. They've been trying to play with each other for months now but maybe progressively over time there's a little less contention and more actual play.
I feel like I'm supposed to do something more with my free time besides revel in it.
