New girlfriend

We always joke to ourselves whenever Tobey makes a friend that's a girl. Kevin seems to be particularly repulsed if we joke about Tobey and Jocelyn getting married and we become in-laws, but most everyone else thinks it's funny. I think Eric & Chia-Chi would think it's fun if we became in-laws via Tobey and Anna.

Watch out, girls, there's competition. In an effort to boost Tobey's social skills, we've been talking about how to be a good friend (it was also the Pre-K homework from Sunday School for the month of December). So to my delight, a couple of weeks ago Tobey said he was a friend to L, a girl in his preschool class. It was corroborated by Miss Crystal who happily reported to me after school (thank goodness she wasn't informing me about another timeout) that Tobey and L played together for the whole outdoor playtime.

Then, as we were listening to the February Chinese songs on CD in the car, a song came on and Tobey said it was L's favorite song in class. He knows her favorite song now? What's next? He's going to make a CD mix of her favorite Chinese nursery rhymes?

Then, the other day while we were leaving school, B (the mom) was picking L and D (twin brother) at the same time as us. So we were trying to help each other's kids to leave by leaving together. Tobey and L ended up holding hands to walk/skip out of school! It was too cute.

So the only question is: a garden or church wedding? ;-)
