Eli: First kiddie meal

We are now a two kiddie meal family. Eli's first kiddie was at Applebee's in Sonora during our snow trip. He and Tobey each gobbled up their mac-n-cheese (which totally looked like Kraft M&C from a box) following a long, fun day on the sledding hill.

The kiddie meal was not so much because I wanted to graduate Eli up to "kid" vs. baby. But more so because I wasn't as prepared to stock the bag with snacks or other food that could pass for his dinner. I think he's also happier seeing that he's eating similar food to everyone else, especially Tobey. It will be a challenge finding out what he likes though since he's not verbal. He gobbled up Applebee's mac and cheese but not tonight's Boston Market.

And so we're onto this next stage of parenthood where the diaper bag is not as essential as it used to be. Sure, it stocks the diapers, but we can live without all the sippy cups and special food that usually stuffs my bag. Still need the baby bottle for milk though, but I found that Eli is fine with cold milk too. If he gets too much easier, we might be lulled into thinking we should have a third.
