Eli: Gay!

Eli's vocabulary is getting better but he still has his one go-to phrase: "Gay!" He points to things and just yells, "Gay!" I keep thinking he's saying "que?" like, "what's that?" in some Spanishish language I don't even speak. Tom is afraid that one day we'll get glares from people thinking that our child is a homophobe.

But recently he's finally, FINALLY, started to deviate from the "gay". He MUST point out every truck on the road and he is finally saying "chuck!" (Tobey used to say "guck"). He'll say "shooz" and "jee jee" (juzhi, "orange" in Mandarin) and other assorted vocab that he's started to blurt out ever since Tom's mom started visiting. And so hope lives on.
