Duh, Mom!

I'm glad Tobey is still a preschooler, full of his own little verbal stumbles like "hostible" (hospital) and "Lightning the Queen". So that for now, it's only Tom who makes fun of me for not knowing the name of the leader of the good Transformers.

"I think we need to get Tobey a good Transformer instead of just the evil ones he got for his birthday."
"Yeah, like Opticon Rex."
"Who?"
"Opticon Rex, the leader."
"Opticon?"
"Oh. [Realizing "Opticon" sounds like a gathering of eye doctors.] Optimus Rex."
"It's not a dinosaur."
"Optimus...Optimus..."
"3...5...7...11..."
"Optimus *odd*??"
"...13...17..."
"Oh, Optimus Prime! Well, I didn't know because you forgot 2!"

Could you imagine how embarrassed Tobey would be if he were in elementary school and I said "Opticon Rex" in front of his friends? And I always thought I would be a cool mom.
