Eli: 2 year old defiance

Tonight after bath, I wrapped both boys in towels. I opened the door to the hallway so they can go get their hair dried by Tom in our bathroom. Eli says, "No." Fine. I let Tobey out and I ask Eli to go out again. "No." I tell him he won't see Daddy, Grandmommy or Gong-Gong if he doesn't go out of the bathroom. "No." Fine, I say. I'M going out. I close the door behind me and leave Eli in the bathroom. Because he's armless in his straightjacket towel, he can't open the door himself.

Two minutes later, I go back to open the door and he quietly walks out. No protest. No nothing.

I bet both of us thought we won that battle.
