Eli: First pee in potty!

I am no where near prepared to potty train Eli. And I figured we'd just do what we did for Tobey: last minute potty training before entering preschool. But Tom's thinking after the Christmas break. I don't even know where our potty training books are. Do you even need them for the second child? Isn't the "open door policy" been his on the job training? He even flushes for us!

Well, so for a while now, maybe a few months at least, Eli can tell us about a poop, usually after the fact, or sometimes during. I have no idea when he pees and he doesn't even do it in the bath much. But the other night in path he had an urgency, "Poo poo! Poo poo!" So I plopped him, wet hair and all, on the potty. I was surprised to find a little puddle in the potty! We celebrated with him. He didn't seem to understand the significance of the occasion. Tonight he also said poo poo at bathtime but came up short -- I think he actually peed in the bath.

So maybe whether I'M ready or not, Eli might be.
