Passings

I realized the other day that it had been weeks it seemed (especially with the kids sick) that I hadn't really thought about Grandma. Previously, there'd be a few days where I wouldn't have but then some need or some rhythm to my schedule would just say it's about time to check in on her. But now that she's gone, there's nothing pressing. Another indication of that, my parents won't be back for a visit here until April, and Dayima not until June. It will also be my first Mother's Day 1) without Grandma and therefore 2) probably without my own mom here and 3) that Tom will have to arrange Mother's Day for me himself! :-)

I hope Grandma's memory or our family ties aren't fading. I realized that I hadn't seen Grandma's official name "plaque" at her resting place in Skylawn yet (it was still just a plastic label when she was interred). I don't know if anyone has.
