Maybe he doesn't like him afterall

Monday morning, the playgroup came over, all 3 boys and all 3 younger siblings in attendance. Tobey took particular interest in baby Katie, coming up to her, talking to her, playing peekaboo with her. I've never seen him so gentle with a baby. I thought, maybe he picked up some kind of gender bias, being more gentle with girls. Whatever, the reason, I was glad to see he was capable of being gentle.

Then he turned his attention to baby Ethan and was equally entertaining, making Ethan laugh. So I guess it wasn't just about girls. Then he went back to Katie to play and back to Ethan (meanwhile, Christopher and Zachary are making their way through our toys). It was a pleasant change from the way Tobey usually bullies around Eli.

When playgroup was over, I announced to Tobey, okay, time to say goodbye to everyone. He turns around to Eli and says, "Goodbye, Eli!!"

I think I need to reinstate my prayer that they will be best friends.
