Tobey: Gregorian chant

I love to hear Tobey singing. I'm thrilled when he sings a song learned at school so I know he's paying attention. But I also love his free form singing when he makes up his own songs. He's been doing that lately and I love the pureness of his "artistry", just singing and making up words and tune as he goes along.

His songs remind me of a Gregorian chant. Or maybe an Episcopal priest. Tobey sings about anything. And he sings as if he's talking, but just with a rolling melody without many jumps or intervals. Yesterday when driving home from Great America, we passed by Tom's work, where we had lunch with Tom a couple of weeks ago:

Daaaaddy works at Juuuuniperrrr, it has a caaa-fuhh-teeer-ah. Juniperrr cafeeeteerrriaaaa. Juniperrr. Daddyyyy works at Juniperrr cafeteeeeriaaaa because the building also says Juuniiiperrr.

Now if only he did combine it with what he's learning in Safari Kids, he could be a singing priest!
