Eli: Wants to walk??

Eli is a mover and a shaker, literally! Not only has he been kicking his legs while on his tummy like he wants to crawl, I'm starting to wonder if he's trying to walk! I don't know why Tom and I even encourage the behavior but if we stand him up, he can stay standing while hanging onto our fingers and his legs are bending up and down in desperate attempts to move. Yesterday I could have also sworn that he was letting go, like he didn't even want to hang onto our fingers, only resulting in twisted tumbles to the ground.

He's now jumping in his doorway jumper, hanging onto our dining room chair, pulling up on it as if to climb? I think I know why he didn't take to the Jumperoo we borrowed. The doorway jumper allows much more freedom, especially since we have it in our big wide doorway in the playroom -- half the time he is spinning around or lately, trying to take steps forward.

Although no parent in their right mind would really want their kid mobile early, I wonder if he just learns how to do it, then he'd be less frustrated.
