Eli: Put up the gates

The boy is mobile, very mobile. He isn't crawling yet although now he can get on all fours and rock with ease. And he isn't quite making his way across the house. But he's scooting well enough to have to start putting things up higher like shoes and slippers or blocking things like our newspaper recycling pile. Today he had an obsession with our master bathroom, wanting to scoot his way in there while we were getting ready for church. Today I blocked the bathroom door with an upside down laundry basket to which he pulled himself up (laughing with joy at his accomplishment) and tried to crawl over like an obstacle course.

Lucky we just started cleaning out our garage and unearthed various gates that Pora gave us. With Tobey we just put up the one that can extend across our big doorway between dining and playrooms. But I have a feeling with Eli we'll have to use all three.
