Tobey: Telling time

Daylight Savings. Eli's early wakings. Who knows why Tobey has been getting up early these days. But ever since we got Eli more on track to sleeping in, I made it a point to get Tobey to stay in his room until at least 7. Nothing more frustrating than having one kid finally sleep in only to have the other not.

Introducing the digital clock. We got Tobey to learn that if the first number on the digital clock is a "7", then he can call for us to come get him. If he wakes up before 7, he needs to stay in bed and read quietly. It's been working great -- it took him just a day or two to get the hang of it.

Of course this morning when he slept (literally) in until after 8, I only felt it right to make sure I went to get him. Poor guy would probably be waiting in his bed all day for the clock to turn back to "7" again.
