Eli: Putting himself to sleep

I often complain about Eli not being a good sleeper because he wasn't as stellar as Tobey (and I do fully realize that he is a good sleeper to most parents). I describe it as Eli can go down easily but doesn't stay down as easily. Tobey is pretty good about sleeping through Eli's noise but we have been battling him on bedtimes.

Even though Eli's easy to put down, I was surprised when he basically put himself to sleep for nap. Sure, he needed a boost in the crib. But when he started just laying around on the kitchen floor, especially tummy down, sucking on his fingers, I asked him if he wanted a nap nap. He apparently thought about it for 3 seconds, got up, walked to his room and tried to climb into his crib. I let him turn on his music box and put him in and now he's taking a nap.

It can't get much easier than that.
