I'm losing it

I'm literally losing it. The number of things I've lost in the past couple of months is troubling. Or maybe not the number of things, but the fact that these items are slightly bigger ticket items. So far to my memory:

- Tobey's preschool apron - Last seen as late as his school portrait just a couple weeks ago. I think I must have dropped it at the park afterschool sometime. Cost: $12 to replace.

- My swim goggles, cap, earplugs - I'm ready to blame Eli on this one but seeing that the cap is fluorescent orange, I don't know why I can't find these 3 items that are always together. Cost: $16 goggles, $5 cap + plugs.

- Tobey's lunchbox - I remember telling myself, "If you put this lunchbox on the ground while loading the car, you WILL forget it." And I did. The kicker is that someone did turn it in at the Y where I left it, but when the staff left it out on the front desk, someone stole it. At the family-oriented Y too. Sad. $24 to buy at Diddam's but I haven't done it yet. I intend to buy him another one since it was my fault that we lost it and he liked it so much. I still can't believe Angel paid $24 for it but she did rave about it.

I know there's more but...well, I forgot. Why can't I just lose some of Eli's take-n-toss sippy cups?
