Traffic school
I've been doing online traffic school as a result of my ticket on the way to the Chinese New Year parade. Nowadays you have the option of doing traffic school online, passing a series of intermediate tests, and then walking into a UPS store anytime to take a written test in person. They tout it as being a more flexible way of doing traffic school, which I completely agree with. Traffic school is much more pleasant when you can do it in front of a TV while being mindlessly entertained by reruns of My Super Sweet 16.
The last time I went to traffic school years ago, it actually wasn't so bad. The guy was somewhat entertaining and I would say at the time I was actually reformed. And geek that I am, had I gone to live traffic school this time, I probably would also be asking nitpicky questions about why in my particular traffic situation, I got a ticket. But online traffic school sure beats spending a precious Saturday from 9AM-5PM listening to someone go over the rules. Then again, it would be 9-5 without kids. And that is how sad parenting can be sometimes, if you see the bright side of traffic school as being kidless time.
But today (Saturday), it's actually been relaxing and productive and I wouldn't have wanted to give up a Saturday like this to listen to traffic rules.
