Eli: Less stressed about sleeping

I think I'm less stressed over Eli's sleeping. Yesterday, he slept for most of the day but had a good "workout" before bedtime. We even put him to bed early (i.e., before Tobey vs. after), which I was a little nervous about, fearing that would leave time for two night wakings instead of just one. But with Tom home to be backup, I was all for trying it and it worked out splendidly.

Eli's also gotten good about falling back asleep after the middle-of-the-night nursing, even if he's eyes wide open. I'm really thankful for that -- we can put him back down, not have to stay up until he falls asleep and not worry about him waking Tobey.

Today, Tom also did something "daring" with Tobey that I was too chicken to do. It has been a well-established fact that you can move a sleeping Tobey from the carseat to his crib within the first 10-15 minutes of him falling asleep. Anything after that is a catnap and re-energizes him enough to not go down for a nap again. But after a day at the zoo and a really delayed nap (he fell asleep in the car at 3:15), Tom put him down for part two of a nap, even though Tobey had been sleeping for at least 40 minutes. Turns out, after a little bit of tired crying, Tobey fell asleep and napped until dinner! Good call, Tom! (Plus, Tom got to nap!)
