Eli: Fearless?
From infancy, maybe even newborndom, Eli was easily identified as more active than Tobey. Once he gained mobility, his eyes had a look of ambition and determination to reach a certain toy or pull up on a certain table. Even Anna noticed at Cuesta on Friday that he's kind of fearless, he crawled through the tunnel cage by himself and started down the play structure steps (head first of course) on this, one of his first times on a playground play structure. Ready for anything, I figured.
But maybe not everything. When I sat him down in the playground sand pit, he complained. Immediately. And for all the action that he likes to create, he still let out a 2AM nightmare yelp, perhaps from all the excitement and new sights of Bonfante Gardens yesterday. He's active, but gotta remember, still a baby.
Ironically, Tobey, usually the more observant, went running head first to all the rides at Bonfante yesterday. I thought he would need warm up time, seeing that we've never been. But at 2.75 years old, maybe the need for warm up time is over.
