Eli: Umbilical cord falls off

In addition to flipping mentioned below, the other milestone of today was that Eli's umbilical stump fell off today!

We went to the S.F. Zoo where I changed Eli's diaper in the cafe restroom. I noticed his stump was nearly falling off but joked to Tom that since he had a onesie and a footed outfit, he was a "closed system" and if the stump is missing, we probably just look in his clothes. Lo and behold, by the next diaper change at home, the stump was missing (but I found it on his belly).

It's about time. Some publications say it only takes 7-10 days for the stump to fall off but for both Tobey and Eli, it was weeks. No wonder Eric & CC were so eager to get us their infant bathtub because Anna's really did fall off that early whereas we're like, "Oh, anytime, we have weeks before we need it." We're still going to wait a couple days before immersing him in water but for sure, bath time will be a little more fun in the Chang household now.
