Eli: Pee in potty!

I was so excited to blog that Eli had his first pee in the potty tonight only to find that it had already happened. That's how often and interested he is in going on the potty -- even I'VE forgotten.

But I have been slipping in hints about the potty more lately. For one thing he wants to be the one taking off his diaper. So that signals to me "pull up". But pull ups are even more expensive than diapers (I assumed) so I told him that if he wants to wear a pull up, he has to go pee or poop in the potty. I even pulled one out the other day to show him but when he said he didn't want to go on the potty, I put the pull up the way. Nice visual lesson there.

He's been pretty consistent telling us post-poop that he went and he always wants to change his diaper, so he must be uncomfortable at some level. So whereas the official first pee in the potty was a pretty isolated incident, I'm more hopeful about tonight's occurrence.
